Faultline is a Texas‑based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening fairness, accuracy, and transparency in eviction‑related housing practices. We exist to ensure that every Texan can navigate the eviction process with clarity, confidence, and access to reliable information grounded in law. Through forensic auditing, compliance education, and public‑interest research, Faultline works to illuminate the procedural standards that govern eviction filings and to expose the gaps that place tenants at risk.

How We Started
Faultline began with a simple but urgent realization: the eviction process in Texas had drifted far from the standards required by law. Tenants were facing filings generated through automated systems, off‑books platforms, and workflows that lacked the transparency, accuracy, and authority verification that the Texas Property Code demands. What should have been a clear legal process had become a maze of opaque technology, inconsistent ledgers, and filings that often could not withstand scrutiny.
